"Mequetrefe es un grupo que nació en el año 2007 en Santiago de Compostela (Galicia). Desde entonces, sus componentes han estado publicando diversas maquetas y madurando este proyecto el cual ha dado como resultado su primer álbum: "Play Off".
Mequetrefe es un grupo ya consolidado, que ha participado en festivales (Vigo Transforma) y teloneado a artistas como Peter Hook. Además, es el único grupo español (junto a Delorean) que ha aparecido en la publicación "Impose Magazine" de Nueva York.
Como una bomba de relojería llega "Play off", un proyecto interesante que nos ofrece una música alternativa cargada de sintetizadores, guitarras y, en definitiva, canciones que no nos podemos perder.

Mequetrefe nos ofrece una música muy propia, cuidada y a la vez muy distinta de todo. La frescura de la música, la diversidad de instrumentos y, por supuesto, las buenas letras y melodías son las que crean el éxito, y Mequetrefe parece que lo tiene asegurado.
Como siempre os animamos a que no le perdáis la pista al grupo ya que, con la trayectoria que llevan , probablemente podremos verlos dentro de poco en los carteles de muchos festivales."
